The french fries are so good. Exactly what fries should be. Even better, Pig Out delivers to Willie's Lounge next door. The owner was very kind and did not give me a hard time about making an order 10 minutes before closing. The place smelled like delicious food. i will definitely be back.

Pig Out is so delicious! The brisket is tender and fatty, the pork is so moist, the ribs literally fall off the bone and Toko, the owner and chef, is the sweetest guy and an amazing chef. If you want legit barbecue, there's no other place in town.

OMG. I love the bigger portions to feed my appetite for BBQ. When I went for, my first time here, it was a little slow, but believe me, it was worth the wait and the guy whom took our order and while we waited since there were orders before ours, was way polite. I was understanding. Definitely coming back for more and has been so far the best BBQ place I have tried so far in SLC.

This place is perfect , food is great and the portions are somehow exactly what I need from a meal. Obviously some kind of magic going on here. Will definitely return.

Thoroughly enjoyed the beef brisket sandwich. The meat was perfectly tenderly, and the owner is very nice and friendly.

Hands down the best brisket smoke ring I've seen in awhile. Made from the heart and definitely shows...can't wait to go back so my husband can attempt the Hawaiian burger challenge.

Really great BBQ! Not only was the food delicious but the owner took the time to chat with us and give us samples of his other creations. I will come back here as often as I come to Salt Lake City!

As I write this, a meat induced coma is creeping up on me. I will try to keep it logical. I was cruising yelp to decide what to eat and saw pig out BBQ is just a stones throw away from me. BBQ, eh? I've been severely let down by various unnamed places in the past, but the reviews were good and BBQ sounded deeeelicious. The building is unassuming, attached to mannys bar. Inside is clean and cool which was welcoming on a hot day. The owner, Togo(?) is very nice and was straight up when I asked him about recommendations. I went with the BBQ combo with ribs, brisket, cornbread and baked beans because my state of hunger dictated I needed one of everything. Service was prompt and I was on my way. I'm home. I open the box and oh my....an olfactory delight awaited me. I'd say there was no less than a metric ton of meat along with a huge piece of cornbread and a more than generous helping of baked beans. I was hell bent on finishing all of it. Because I'm a masochist. I said screw the fork and went after it with my hands. Less than halfway through I started to sweat. You know that sweat when your body is telling you to stop eating? Yeah, that one. One. More. Bite! The ribs were so meaty and tender and juicy, the brisket had a perfect flavor, the BBQ sauce is the perfect amount of tang, sweet and spice, the baked beans were probably the best I've had (and made from scratch!) and the cornbread is what dreams are made of. All for $12. EASILY shareable (and trust when I say I can eat). I have definitely had a lot less for a lot more. All in all, I will absolutely go back. This place is legit. My mouth is already watering thinking about the leftovers that await me.

This place is amazing! It's the best BBQ in town and cheap!! If you're within 5 miles, the brisket and burgers are well worth the drive.

I'm a sucker for ma/pa run hole in the walls. At this one, the owner is a humble and nice islander guy. He's there to chat with you and is very gracious. The place is full of potential. The decor could use a little sprucing up. The prices are pretty good and the portions are very generous. The bbq sauce is yum. It's spicy, sweet and tangy.. The meat (I only had the ribs) is also well done and tastes nice. They didn't have the brisket today, darn it. My only small complaint is that the ribs were a little overdone in some parts - possibly the meat had been reheated because it looks like they just don't have enough business. If more people came around consistently, this place would be rocking.

Best bacon burger (hold the mayo and onion) and sweet potatoes ever. Excellent smoked BBQ ribs. Owner's are the real deal and always good to support the small business owner.

Stopped into one of favorite bars and found out they use the kitchen for this place. And I was happy for the change because I do love me some BBQ. And I was really happy to find out it has some Polynesian twisted to some of the menu items. I ordered the southern BBQ combo to get a taste of a few things. And it came with shredded pork, brisket, choice of either mac or green salad and beans. All of it was good, but they could use some work on the beans. BBQ sauce was tasty but again I think they could add a spicy sauce option it would be great. I want to come back and try some of the fry breads they have on the menu. Being that they are a newer place, I am sure they will just get better with time. I will be back again for sure.

This place is amazing! I have only had the spare ribs because It's my go to bbq order and they were very very tasty. Portions are huge and its pretty cheap for bbq. The owner puts pride in his food and it shows. Parking sucks but it's worth the hassle.

Whew finally got around to writing this review. Sorry Pig out for not doing this sooner that's my fault. Ok on with the review. Obviously most people that have ever travelled to the U.S. And have had BBQ know that the best is down in the southern states. Well Pig out is pretty damn good and could give some of those southern BBQ joints a run for their money. We had the pulled pork and brisket sandwiches and they were quite big! The sauce was also spicy but not to over powering which is how I like it, give you a chance to taste the smoke and meat itself. The gentleman behind the counter was a nice old soul. My madre and grandparents wanted to try the meats before we bought and he totally hooked us up with a sizeable portion of both types. I thought that was very generous since he didn't really have to do that for us. The only thing I didn't care for was the slaw. Needs to be overhauled as I like slaw but couldn't eat much of this kind. But I didn't come for the slaw so this is minor details in my book. Only reason for no 5-star is I didn't get to see the place when it's hopping and didn't get to try all the other stuff like the ribs. Otherwise I do recommend this place it's cheap , has a friendly atmosphere and is probably the best BBQ in Salt lake.

This place is woefully and undeservedly still flying way under the radar, but damn if the guy's still not cranking out some of the best Q out there. I have very little to add to the prior review, as little has changed from it, other than the guy is still going strong and it's well worth your while to dogfight for parking here. While everything on the menu is generally excellent, if you're a Q fan, this place is a must stop, as much as R & R or Pat's and neither of those, while still serving fantastic food, has the depth of warmth you will get here. These are the type of places that have to be supported if one wants them around and if you care about BBQ, you definitely want this one around.

I have had the chicken ribs and brisquet here on several occasions. It has always been really good, but some days are even better than others because the owner takes the time to make them himself. The brisquet I had one week was actuallly the best I have ever had from a restaurant. Their sauce is sweet but tangy.., just enough zip to wake your taste buds. Even without sauce, the cuts of meat are fresh and tasty. If you really like bbq, this place is worth trying for sure!

Don't let the exterior or small size of this place keep you from trying it. The food is plentiful and excellent. We had brisket and ribs, coleslaw and fries. The meats were tender and delicious. If you're expecting KFC coleslaw, you'll be disappointed, because this is much better - crisp, with a sweet vinaigrette sauce that pairs perfectly with the BBQ. The owner is very attentive and fun to talk to. He cares about his customers.

Don't be too quick to judge, this place is a hidden treasure. The bbq brisket is so tender and tasty, and the service is top notch. Such a friendly 'locals' kind of atmosphere. Definitely recommend it!

The one person show was really nice. I ordered the 3 meat combo with brisket, ribs, and pulled pork. My buddy ordered the manny burger with onion rings. The brisket was pretty good, the ribs and pulled pork were cold and didn't taste very fresh. We were the only ones in the place at lunch time. Don't think this place will survive too much longer.

I love stumbling upon places like this. The owner has definitely put his heart into it and you can tell. He served us tonight, along with a younger woman, and both were very attentive, and genuinely cared about wether or not we liked our food. Just as we were leaving he came over to chat which was really nice. The parking situation here isn't great but you can park at the bank after 6 and on the weekends. The owner made sure to let us know that. This place is SMALL and a little dingy but that only added to the charm for us. The menu has so much that I wanted to try! Burgers, fry bread sandwiches and lots of BBQ options. My husband ordered the brisket plate. Brisket was moist and tender, with great flavor. The BBQ sauce was great. The brisket was fatty, like it should be, but he wished that the very fatty ends had been trimmed off. He got the side of beans which were mediocre at best. I'm guessing the fries or Mac n cheese would have been a better choice. But he didn't care, the brisket was really delicious and a huge portion. I ordered the fry bread poly cheese steak. The fry bread was fantastic. The peppers and onions were cooked to perfection and topped with the most delicious, Melty cheese. The meat was a tiny bit tough but flavorful. All in all the quality of food was great, the portions were huge and the cost was reasonable. We will for sure be back to try more and I hope this place gets the attention it deserves.

Not bad BBQ, I tried the pulled pork, brisket and some pork ribs. Glutenous, yes... But if you're gonna review BBQ, you might as well go all out. The meat was a little dry but the flavor was decent. The other down side was a little too much BBQ sauce, so I'd recommend getting sauce on the side. Another sad thing which has bothered me lately on my meat quest for good BBQ has been the sauce. A good BBQ place should make their own sauce, screw the bottled/pre-made sauces. Which sadly is the case here. All in all a decent experience, the old guy the runs this joint is a friendly guy and he's placed a sharpie marker out for patrons to tag up their thoughts, etc. I represented the Yelp community. Cheers!

ordered the brisket plate. Not a bad price, the mac salad was good the brisket flavor was not bad but was cold. obvious came out of fridge but if heated up to where it was hot the flavor would have been great. The service was a 5 and fast. Friendliest service I have seen

This is probably the best BBQ I have had in Utah so far. Their BBQ sauce is amazing. The ribs and brisket were super tender and moist. The owner was an awesome guy, he made sure everything was great and told us many times thanks for coming in. Go help your local small businesses!! You won't be sorry!!
